I am a Johnson & Wales University–trained culinary professional with a bachelor’s degree in culinary science and a strong foundation in restaurant management, event execution, and menu development. My experience includes leading and mentoring kitchen teams, managing food costs and inventory, coordinating vendors and local farmers, and executing high-volume banquet service while maintaining quality, taste, and a perfect flow of service. I was grateful to have participated in humanitarian efforts, including working with World Central Kitchen, where I assisted in producing and distributing thousands of meals during the 2025 Los Angeles wildfire disaster relief operations. I hold a Servsafe Management and Food Handler certifications, ensuring food safety at the utmost importance throughout the preparation and event.
I bring a calm and organized approach to even the most complex events. I pride myself on being efficient, having low-waste practices, and thoughtful sourcing of ingredients. As a young girl I was inspired by the joy food brought to people. It was then that I knew I wanted to become a chef and build a life centered around hospitality, family, connection, and creativity. Today, that lifelong passion presents itself in every dish I create. Catering by Chef Lizzy in one sentence is thoughtful cooking and 100% love for the craft.
Catering by Chef Lizzy is a full-service, fresh-food–focused catering business. Specializing in sustainable food, seasonal menus and thoughtfully curated culinary experiences. My team and I provide elevated catering services for gatherings; drawing inspiration from the Hudson Valley’s rich agricultural landscape, vibrant food culture, and strong sense of community. No two events are the same; each menu is carefully designed to reflect the client’s vision, must-haves, and the season. From farm dinners and private chef parties to cooking classes and custom events, every service is rooted in scratch cooking, high-quality ingredients, and intentional design.
